BURTON FARMS
"We love color."

Welcome to Burton Farms, let us tell you a little bit about ourselves. We are three generations of the same family working together to breed, raise, train, show and sell quality miniature donkeys. We discovered miniature donkeys while looking for a gentle, intelligent, low maintenance animal for a 4-H project. We did hours of research on the Internet and spoke to many wonderful people before deciding on miniature donkeys. Our first mini was delivered the day before Thanksgiving 2002.

We maintain a small but select herd of miniature donkeys to provide quality veterinary and farrier care, proper nutrition, and the individual attention that they all need and deserve. We breed for conformation and disposition primarily with the size and color secondary. We breed traditional gray/silver, black, brown, sorrel and spots. Our herd is very diverse and we believe that we will have a mini that is suitable for most needs whether you are looking for quality breeding stock, show animal or  a pet. If by chance we don't have what you are looking for, we will make an effort to find you the animal that is right for you. Our goal is to match healthy, friendly donkeys with loving homes.

We not only do personal rescue work but we also do rescue work for the United States Equine Sanctuary and Rescue. Right now we are fostering two horses, one with congenital deformities, and the other with Cushing's disease. We love and care for our foster animals as if they were our own.

We are proud members of:
American Donkey and Mule Society
American Council of Spotted Asses
American Miniature Donkey Association
Southwestern Donkey and Mule Society
Gulf Coast Donkey and Mule Society
and United States Equine Sanctuary and Rescue

Feel free to contact us. We would love to hear from you!
